How to apply

  1. Clean thoroughly. Prep the areas you’ll seal. Plastics and dirty surfaces need a very clean prep or adhesion suffers.
  2. Tape off vent lids, moldings, front/back caps, and any edges you want crisp.
  3. Apply with a paintbrush around penetrations and seams. The self-leveling formula will flow and settle — don’t overwork it.
  4. Pull tape on time (critical — see below).

IMPORTANT — masking tape removal

Because this is self-leveling and sets quickly, tape timing matters:

  • Flat / horizontal surfaces & vent lids: remove tape within about 2–3 minutes (no longer than ~5 minutes). It may still be a little stringy while liquid — that’s normal. Pull carefully.
  • Vertical / sloped areas (front cap rolling to the sidewall, etc.): leave tape a bit longer so leveling can finish — typically 5–8 minutes, up to about 15 minutes if needed. Or wait until the next day and gently score the edge with a razor blade before pulling so the sealant doesn’t tear.

Warning: If you leave tape too long on flat surfaces, it can bond permanently and become very hard to remove.
